NEW, available for rent only by the week, Friday to Friday: Guesthouse Deurnink, quietly situated at a crossroads of old sandy tracks between Vorden (4.3 km) and Lochem (7.2 km), in the middle of a nature reserve. During the day, walkers, cyclists, and people on horseback pass by; at night, it is pitch black and dead silent. The guesthouse is insulated with HR++ insulation, equipped with central heating, a private front door, and a spacious hall. The living room has patio doors (private terrace facing southwest) and a fully equipped kitchen with hot and cold water, kitchen utensils, extractor hood, refrigerator, combination oven, and dishwasher. Large bedroom with a double bed 160x200 cm (duvet 200x200), patio doors, and a round work table. Extra study with a single bed (80x200 cm) for guests who prefer to sleep separately. Toilet (with sanitary shower) and washbasin next to the bathroom (with washbasin and spacious shower). Utility room with washing machine & dryer, freezer, and cleaning supplies. Please bring your own bed linen & towels, otherwise they are available for € 50,-. Smoking/open fires are not permitted indoors or outdoors, nor are pets due to allergies and to avoid disturbing wildlife; TV via Wi-Fi.

Het Grote Veld is a historic heathland landscape of 420 hectares and offers an oasis of tranquility in the Achterhoek: owls, roe deer, foxes, bats, and many species of birds of prey live around Deurnink. From the guesthouse, your walk or bike ride begins right in their habitat, and you can join the many cycling and walking routes (including the Central Netherlands Route and the Pieterpad) that pass through here. In the summer, swim in the swimming and recreation pool “In de Dennen” 3 km away, or in bad weather in the indoor swimming pool “De Beemd” 6 km away. Or go canoeing on the Berkel, or horseback riding in nature. Or visit the Lochem Golf Club with 18 holes, 2 km away. Vorden also has 8 castles (some of which can be visited), a train station, bicycle rental, excellent dining options (including Hotel Bakker), and terraces.
